I have no office to return to on Monday morning other than my very own!
Yesterday was my last day of "work" in the 9-5 sense. Monday I start my new job...working for myself. And although it did hit me a little hard last night, realizing exactly what I left behind me and what now lies ahead of me, I couldn't be happier.
And now I need to try and get in the shower before anyone else in my apartment beats me to it (we've got a total of seven people here this weekend...one bathroom...gross).
Love,
Lauren

oh saturdays
It was raining a few hours ago, which completely ruined my plans to start off the beautiful weekend with a refreshing run. But now some time has passed and the sun is shining...64 degrees...I might try and squeeze one in before I have to meet someone at one.
Dates are set...plane tickets purchased...t minus two weeks until I leave and come back a better person. Hopefully.
Started my morning off with some tegan and sara, and then my itunes switched it up a bit and played me some beatles. perfect, considering I'm going to see "Across The Universe" later on today...I'm really hoping it's as good as it could be.
That's all for my little update :) I've got an entire batch of incomplete material - I'm hoping to finish at least ONE this weekend.
I hope the sun is shining on you, too
xo

Today is a Good Day
Today is definitely a good day, and yesterday was too. And if all goes accordingly, tomorrow won't fail me either.
I don't have much for updates, though I always feel as if I should update even more regularly than I do. I'm getting things in order, taking my time to plan next steps and craft new melodies and find new inspirations...and unfortunately (or fortunately?), time means periods of slow steps. It means that some days you will need to remind yourself that that ONE thing you did that day was Enough, because the Universe knows no size, only effort and intention. So, I do what I can when I can and it will come. I have no doubt.
It's amazing how humbling it can be when you realize how small the world really is. And on that note, I am quite grateful for the people I have met and the places I have been, and I am so excited for what is to come.
Please do stay tuned...there are great things in the works. And when I say that, you'll say "yeah yeah, whatever lady" and I'll say "I told you so!" the minute it all finally makes sense. Just kidding. I never say I Told You So. But I do appreciate the people who believe in me.
:)
